Blogmere: a magazine theme for lifestyle and culture journals
Blogmere is a magazine and journal theme for Publii, inspired by the pages of a print magazine. Large photographs, italic serif headlines and generous spacing suit personal essays, travel writing and stories about culture and everyday life. The homepage brings new articles together with selected favourites, giving readers several places to begin. Inside, the writing shares the page with photographs and prominent quotations, with room for both short observations and longer stories.
An older essay can stay on the homepage while new articles appear around it. Blogmere gives each homepage section its own content selection, so you can keep a series together, recommend a few favourites or let the latest posts appear automatically. The same journal can hold short observations, illustrated essays and longer stories, with a layout chosen for each.
Magazine homepage
- A large opening story with its headline over the photograph, alongside smaller article cards

- Individual controls for the introduction, featured image, author, avatar, publication date and sharing
- Typography for quotations, lists, tables, notice boxes and image captions, with support for wide images and galleries
